Graduating Students

Texas Wesleyan graduation in Fort Worth, TX.

A Wesleyan Tradition Since 1927

‌‌‌‌‌‌‌Honor the professor that has had the most impact on your Texas Wesleyan experience by allowing him/her to robe/hood you during these special academic ceremonies.

Participate in Robing and Hooding

Students who want to participate in the Robing or Hooding Ceremonies should complete the following steps no later than June 15.

Step 1: Select a faculty member to robe or hood you.

Choose a faculty member who has been meaningful to you during your time at Texas Wesleyan. The choice is yours, but only one faculty member may be chosen per student.  Participating faculty must be eligible to wear academic regalia and include all faculty, full or part-time, and staff who hold faculty rank. Coaches and staff are unable to participate unless they hold faculty rank.

Torn between two faculty? Want to honor a non-faculty member?

Step 2: Confirm your chosen faculty member’s participation.

Be sure you ask the faculty member you’ve selected to participate.

*Selected faculty will be verified upon submission. Students who request faculty who do not confirm their participation will be asked to select another faculty member.

Step 3: Complete the electronic Robing and Hooding Form.

Once you've completed the first two steps, fill out the online Robing and Hooding registration form no later than June 15.

Don't forget to check out Grad Kickoff on 9 a.m.- 6 p.m. Feb. 6 in Lou's Place. You will be able to sign up for all ceremonies, order regalia and more.

Step 4: Pick up your tickets, cap, gown and hood.

Herff Jones, the official vendor for TXWES regalia, is shipping your regalia direct to your home.  All students who have ordered their official regalia should confirm their shipping address to ensure their regalia is received.

All participating graduates are guaranteed 2 tickets to the Robing/Hooding ceremony- faculty and participating graduate do not need a ticket.  If extra tickets are available, all participating students will be notified and offered the same quanitity.  A live streaming of the ceremony will take place on campus for those without tickets.  All are invited to the reception that follows.

As our Txwes community and nation meet the ongoing challenges of COVID-19, we are working with vendors to identify how graduates will receive their graduation items.  As we continue to monitor the situation and follow recommendations from local authorities and the CDC, we will continue to update - please check back for more information about ticket dispursement.

Graduation fees must be paid in full in order for students to participate in graduation and receive their regalia, commencement tickets, diploma and transcripts. .
