Fill out your online application and begin submitting documents.

2. Letters of recommendation

You'll need to have three letters of recommendations. References can include former professors, supervisors or a professional colleague. While completing the online application you will list your three refereneces and their e-mail addresses for an electonic letter of recommendation to be submitted.

3. Official Transcripts

We need to see a transcript from every college or university you've ever attended. In many cases, you can order your transcripts online. All transcripts should be submitted to:

6. Background Check

You need to contact the Tarrant County District Office and request a criminal — not civil — background check. Here's how that process works:

  • Request that the background check be mailed directly to the address listed for transcript delivery
  • Include a $5 money order made out to the Criminal District Court Tarrant County
  • Mail the request to: Criminal District Court, Criminal Background Check, 401 W. Belknap St. Fort Worth, TX 76102

Contact the office of criminal background checks at 817-884-1342 with any questions. If you request your background check in person, you may turn the background check directly into the graduate admissions office.
