Texas Wesleyan's championship team inspired the Fort Worth Star Telegram's managing editor to purchase a Ping-Pong table for the newsroom and hold their own office tournament.

Last week, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram sent a video journalist to capture Texas Wesleyan's 11-time national championship table tennis team in action.

Using a GoPro camera and traditional video, journalist Steve Wilson (a former table tennis player himself) made a video of the team for the Star-Telegram Extra, the newspaper's tablet app.

Wilson told Texas Wesleyan that the video inspired the paper's managing editor to purchase a Ping-Pong table for the newsroom and hold their own office tournament.

Members of the Texas Wesleyan team were invited to the newsroom to congratulate the winners — and to demonstrate how championship table tennis skills differ from Ping-Pong.

Kudos to all the Star-Telegram employees who played in the tournament, and thank you for inviting Texas Wesleyan players to visit your offices.
