Banned Books Week 2020

09.22.2020 | By: Texas Wesleyan University
open book with pages flipped

Join West Library as we celebrate Banned Books Week from Sept. 27 – Oct. 3, 2020. Sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA), Banned Books Week is an annual event that brings awareness to censorship and celebrates the freedom to read.

If you are on campus, come see our first-floor display of commonly challenged or banned books. We invite the RAMily to leave responses on our FlipGrid about the impact that challenged/banned books have made on you. Scan the QR code below or use this link to access our FlipGrid, choose the Microsoft option and enter your email.

ALA has various lists of frequently challenged and banned books. Take a look and tell us what you have read! Is there a book you’d love to discuss that isn’t on these lists? We want to hear about it!
