New windows, like the ones seen here on the side of Dora’s Dining Hall, will be installed at Elizabeth Hall and on the front of Dora’s this summer.
Campus improvements aren’t slowing down in 2016. With the Rosedale Renaissance complete, Texas Wesleyan is making good on its 2020 Vision with improvements across campus.
Here are five campus improvements in the works:
The activation of the new Central Power Plant is a key part of the University’s $6.2 million energy-saving project. The power plant is mostly invisible to the community but, it may be the most impressive enhancement as it improves the campus for our students, our neighborhood and the city of Fort Worth.
Facilities will lay sod and finish the soccer field in the Student Recreation area east of Stella Hall early this spring. Students already use the newly completed sand volleyball court next to the basketball court and fire pit and are excited to have the recreation area finished. We expect to see students using the field for all sorts of intramural activities.
The Science and Lecture Theater (SLT) in McFadden Science Center is getting a highly-anticipated facelift. The University will install new seating and a high-tech teaching wall in the lecture hall this summer.
Facilities will update the student life entryway in Brown-Lupton Campus Center this spring, which most likely means the removal of the wood paneling and replacing the floors. New furniture will invite students to hang out during off-hours on campus.
